Answered · every call · every hour

You're losing work you never knew about.

I look after phone lines for busy practices. When reception's on another call, or it's half seven at night, mine picks up, talks to the caller properly, and books them into your existing diary. I set the whole thing up. You keep your number.

I ring your place five times over a week. You find out how many got answered. No charge, nothing to sign.
I reply to every enquiry within one working day.

Missed calls don't feel like anything. That's the problem.

Nobody sends you an invoice for the call you didn't take. You're under a car, chairside, out on a viewing — and by the time you've wiped your hands, they've rung the next name on Google. The work leaves quietly, and you never find out it was there.

Ring the real thing

How it works

Three things happen. None of them need you.

01

It answers

Picks up within a couple of rings and holds a normal conversation. No menus, no hold music, no press-one-for-sales.

02

It books

Checks your live diary, takes the details, answers the usual questions, and puts the appointment straight in.

03

You carry on

You finish what you were doing. The booking is sitting there when you next look, with everything you need.

What it looks like in practice

A week in the life of a missed call

I have not been running long enough to show you another practice's results, and I would rather say that than make something up. So here is the arithmetic instead, using figures you can check yourself.

Mon

The call you never saw

Someone rings at ten past one while reception is at lunch. They do not leave a voicemail. There is no record that they rang at all.

Tue

They ring someone else

Research on UK small businesses found 85% of callers who do not get through never try again. They go to the next name on Google.

Fri

The invoice that never arrives

Nobody bills you for the work you did not get. That is the whole problem: the loss is real, and completely invisible.

The arithmetic

A dental practice taking twenty calls a day, missing 47% of first calls (the UK average), loses roughly nine conversations a day. If one in twenty of those was a new patient enquiry, that is around two a week.

You do not have to believe my numbers. That is exactly what the free audit is for — it measures yours.

Straight answers

The questions everyone asks

Will my customers know it's not a person?

Most don't clock it, and the ones who do usually don't mind — they got an answer, which is the bit they actually cared about. It never pretends to be human if asked outright. Ring it yourself and see what you think; that's a better test than anything I can write here.

What if it gets something wrong?

It confirms names, numbers and times back to the caller before booking anything, and if the line's bad it asks them to repeat rather than guessing. Anything it genuinely can't handle, it takes a number and tells them you'll ring back.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. You keep your number and forward it — either everything, or only when you're busy or don't pick up. Most people start with the second option, so nothing changes until a call would have been missed anyway.

How much is it?

It depends on your trade and how many calls you take, so I would rather give you a straight number than a made-up one. Do the free audit first and I will price it properly against your actual call volume.

What's the catch with the free audit?

There isn't one. It costs me about ten minutes and it's the honest way to find out whether you have a problem worth paying to fix. If all five calls get answered, I'll tell you that and leave you alone. You can see how the service works or read the other questions first.

How long does setup take?

A day or two. I do all of it — your services, your prices, your opening hours, your calendar. You don't touch anything technical.

What about my customers' data?

Fair question, especially in healthcare or legal work. I'll put a written data processing agreement in place before going live, setting out what's processed, where it's stored and how long it's kept. There's more detail on the privacy page.

What if I want to stop?

You stop. Forward your number back to yourself and it's over. No tie-in, no exit fee.

The Missed Call Audit

Before you buy anything, find out whether you even have the problem. Most people are surprised, and a few find out they're fine — in which case I'll tell you so.

01

I ring you five times

Over one week, at the times your customers actually ring. A Tuesday lunchtime. A Thursday evening. A Saturday morning.

02

I count what happens

Answered, rang out, or went to voicemail. No tricks, no pressure selling on the call — I just note it down.

03

You get the numbers

A short honest summary. If all five were answered, you don't need me and I'll say so plainly.

Takes me ten minutes. Costs you nothing. No obligation either way.

The bit that matters

You pay nothing until it books your first appointment.

Priced against your actual call volume, so you get a straight number once I have run the audit. No contract and no exit fee. Stop whenever you like and forward your number back to yourself.

I take on four new practices a quarter, because I set each one up myself.

Being straight with you

ALLai is new. I do not have a wall of testimonials yet, and I am not going to invent any.

What I can do is let you hear the thing working before you pay anything, measure your own missed calls for free, and not charge you until it has booked your first appointment. If that is not enough, wait until someone else has gone first — I would understand.
